Light Rail Station Design
During a 10-week course, I appled the design thinking lens to create concepts for the new light rail station in the University District of Seattle.
My final design includes one exterior drawing and two interior drawings with all my concepts mapping out in the space. I also tie storyboards back to the experience map to show how rider Mary
from my persona will interact with the station.
Moving forward, I would explore how the interactive screens and the display screens attached to the direction stand will actually look. I will also try to incorporate more future technology in the station.
It is my first time approaching spatial design from a user-centered design angle. It really reassures me the power of experience design. I would love to do more projects similar to this one in the future to expand my scope of work.
